Let’s Get Going!

Fellow Prosperians,

First of all, I want to say THANK YOU to the Prosperian community. This community has been rock solid in standing strong during some challenging times. Also, a huge thanks to Bjorn, Kryptman, Black Tie, Deimos and the rest of the crew for holding on tight while I was out. I seriously can’t thank everyone enough.

This is going to be a long update. I needed to post it here and not discord because I wouldn’t be able to get it all in a single announcement/update due to its length and amount of content needed to be covered. So if you don’t have to time to read it all, consume it all and understand it you can always come back. It will be here for good. And always linked to from the post in the official announcement thread in Discord.

Ok so today is Friday, September 9th of 2022. It’s been a rough six weeks as I haven’t been able to be plugged into Prosperia the way I had previously been (and will be again). I want to explain that a bit. You see, my wife and I own a freight company. We own a small fleet of trucks running refrigerated freight in all 48 lower US states. Traditionally this requires very little of our time. I’m talking like an hour a week at most. When things are going well.

This has been a blessing for the project because we’re basically kind of retired when things are running smoothly. Our company sustains us and allows me to focus on the Prosperian world I’m so passionate about. This is the upside. The downside is things do go wrong from time to time. And unfortunately a lot went wrong at the same time. I had multiple trucks break down. Drivers stranded. A new truck come in much sooner than expected and some other things go sideways that took my full attention.

Needles to say I had to perform a hard pivot and focus on my business. In fact, I still have some work to do. Next week I have to travel back to Missouri to get a driver set up in a truck that the previous driver abandoned. It’s a huge pain in the ass. But it all is kind of starting to work itself back into an auto-pilot scenario.

I know this is incredibly “into the weeds” but I want to make sure everyone understands the complexities I was and am up against in personal life. No ideal, but also not avoidable. Hopefully this brings you up to date on the life side of things.

Now let’s talk about the crypto markets.

Back when we first began to negotiate some of the larger components of Prosperia with external contracted developers (the racing game specifically) Cardano was trading at nearly 1.00 USD. I remember back then even giving ourselves a lot of room for slippage in markets. I think we tried accounting for somewhere in the 15-20% slippage just in case. As we all know… that percentage had its bottom completely blown out.

Our project wallets are holding a ton of ADA, but not nearly enough to account for a loss of 50% of value since the time of original negotiations. I don’t say this to bring about doubt in the community. I say this to be fully transparent so everyone knows where we are and where we’re going. In summary, for the larger components we’re building we just have to sit in a hurry up and wait pattern. It just is what it is. There is nothing I can do about that. Nothing I can do to change it.

The good news is Prosperia is and always has been a long view, patient and well thought out NFT project. Yes, we would love to see some of our larger components happen sooner, but reality is what it is. Fiat AND crypto markets are in shambles. Doesn’t mean we’re waving the white flag. Just means that like everyone else we just have to hold and wait it out.

But there is still so much we can do, and we’re going to do it.

I do have to travel for a week next week for my business, but once back we will be full throttle. Things I aim to accomplish before and after I travel are as follows:

  1. We got “most” of the old stake pool rewards out but there were some that slipped through the cracks. Those should all be completed this weekend.
  2. Kryptman has been an absolute rock star in forging a path forward on NFT staking while I was out. He’s been working tirelessly with the Marsbird Devs to get this all finished up and I’m super stoked to report it’s being tested as we speak. Yesterday I changed the domain DNS they needed for testnet and mainnet and it sounds like it’s going into final testing now. This means Prosperia collections will be able to be staked for $PRSPR rewards imminently.
  3. I’m going through the database and readying the Discord RANK REWARDS for the first drop. The drop will not happen until I get back, but the file will be ready. Meaning that within the next two weeks those who qualify for rank rewards ($PRSPR) will see the first round and it will be TASTY!

  1. ProsperHUB will be going back to the front of the priority line. There are a lot of things happening over at NFTMaker that enhance this interface and experience. So we’re kind of having to take a step back and ensure we’re doing it right. But we’re very close. Here in about 2 weeks there will be a massive update the ProsperHUB market portal giving you a much bigger picture of available collectibles and current rank sheets on all of them. With the goal of opening it up shortly after.
  2. HAB Mint is also on a similar timeline. As a reminder habs for Zeppelin Moon will ONLY be minted for $PRSPR (plus TX fees in ADA). And a MultiPass of any tier is required to mint.
  3. 3D Zepper Collectibles are going to be geared back up and an announcement will come when I get back about the status of this.

Now on to some longer view big ticket items.

STARSHIPS: Some have heard the rumors. A massive collab is indeed in the works. We’re currently in talks with another CNFT project ( you are all very familiar with the project) and while we can’t yet discuss the project we’re talking with, I can say this is going to be epic if we can come to agreement on how to do it. This will be a collab between Prosperia and another “similar” minded project where both projects will bring their artists in to design a fleet of ships for a big mint targeted for the end of the year (November hopefully).

Instead of Prosperia building a collection alone in this tough environment we’ll team up with another big project to bring both communities together with amazing art and powerful co-created lore behind it all. With all assets designed in formats conducive to our long term development objectives.

PROSPERIAN SYNTHS: Prosperian Synths are our flagship collection. They are the identity of Prosperia. They will be the biggest and most important collection we ever mint. With this being the case we cannot take them to mint market in the current crypto climate. Synths will demand a higher mint price and we can’t ask that of our community during these difficult times. Especially when it’s a battle for collections to maintain ongoing secondary value when liquidity is so tight across the board.

So, in essence, expect the Synth mint to be delayed until Q1 of 2023. At the earliest and depending on where the markets are at that time.

We highly recommend everyone watch $PRSPR action on platforms such as Muesliswap, Minswap and others. There is a liquidity pool on MinSwap that is seeing a lot of fun action. As more rewards are dropped and NFT staking kicks into gear, the project held supply of $PRSPR will get smaller and smaller. Which creates a lot of interesting opportunities to play around on exchanges.

Check it all out, grab cheap $PRSPR when you see it and if you feel inclined to do so jump into some LP action here and there when the timing is right.

There are still some questions and answers I haven’t gotten to here, but know they are on the agenda. I’ll have more big updates flowing in the next two weeks addressing a few other important items as I get to them.

Until then please enjoy the fact that we are moving forward, we have big plans and we’re getting back on track where we left off. I need a little more time to iron some things out but this is going to be a path of very exciting times ahead.

Thank you again for understanding the complexities of everything here. Thank you for being patient with me. Thank you for being Prosperians.

For Prosperians The Interstellar Wars Still Remain A Mystery

Today marks the 275th Anniversary of the start of the Interstellar Wars that plagued Prosperia for nearly two decades and ended as quickly as it began. It was the most important event of our short history as a colony and nearly destroyed every aspect of Prosperian life. Yet very few talk about it today. No one alive today experienced it. Not one of us felt its brutality. We can’t relate to the fear experienced. Our generation and the few before us have never experienced physical war of any kind.

Which explains why we generally treat it almost as if it never happened. And truthfully, if there weren’t ample media evidence of what happened we would probably all believe it nothing more than a twisted fairy tale of some kind. But it happened. And we should remember it because it could easily happen again.

As the record shows, on July 3rd of 3201 a massive force commanded by an unknown species appeared in our star system and initiated a series of attacks aimed directly at our starport. Apparently our survival is much in part thanks to a simple scenario of chance. As luck would have it The United Federation was in the midst of a multi-month series of wargames. Our latest technology was actively being tested and the first defense fleet of Prosperia was already in a defensive position. The first barrage of incoming artillery was stopped before we were hit. Counter measures were deployed and the fleet advanced to the enemy position, keeping the war on the opposite side of the system.

According to the record we never really delivered significant damage to the attacking fleet. For nearly 20 years the Prosperian Defense Fleet simply moved around the outer edges of our solar system fighting off invasions that were unpredictable, lacking of any strategic logic and delivered by an apparent technologically superior species. Our fleet’s best hope was keeping incoming fire away from Prosperia. Very few attacking ships were damaged or destroyed, and the enemy sent clean up ships to ensure no debris or materials were left behind.

For those who came before us and lived during those years it was a terrifying existence. If any one of those weapons ever reached the outer hull of Prosperia it would have been game over. It’s a harsh reminder of how vulnerable we really are.

As we all know the invaders didn’t win or lose. They just stopped coming. We have no idea who or what they are. Where they came from. Why they came and where they went. We just know they were here, they tried to kill us all and they left.

This is a bizarre mystery that most of us no longer ponder. 275 years is a long time. So much has happened since then. Our colony is now a society of nearly 700,000 humans. We’re busy innovating and exploring. We’re expanding and growing. Finding our way in this grand universe and plotting a course for big things to come.

We generally don’t regard something that happened 275 years ago as relevant for today. But we should. Let’s not forget that on July 2nd of 3201 Prosperians never in their wildest dreams thought an invasion would occur. Yet the next day it did. Without warning or explanation. Prosperians were safe and then we weren’t. Just like that. In the blink of an eye.

This is not to say we should live in fear. But we know we’re not alone out here.

Let this day remind us of that. And let us not forget it.

Major Faction Shifts Happening Across Prosperia

Prosperian society just experienced a phase of significant shifts. An epic economic war broke out as factions fight for economic and political dominance. The war had profound impact across the board and brought about substantial fluctuations in societal infrastructure.

The specifics are as follows:

  • The War Hammer Faction Expanded Zone Control, Economic & Political Influence. The War Hammer Faction is widely considered victorious in the recent economic faction war. While the Peace Keeper faction gained significant ground as well, War Hammer enjoyed the largest increase in power across the colony. War Hammer moved into power in perviously neutral zones 74, 75 and 77. Bringing their total zone control number to 10 zones controlled and represented. War Hammer now holds the most economic and political influence in Prosperia with a 20% grip on overall power.
  • The Peace Keeper Faction Also Expanded Zone Control, Economic & Political Influence. Peace Keepers wrestled their way through the recent economic faction war with a close second place finish, expanding their power into zones 21 and 22. This move gives Peace Keepers control of 9 zones total, expanding their economic and political influence to a comfortable 18%.
  • Gods of Fortune Slipping. The Gods of Fortune faction was previously viewed as a dominant force, but took a beating in the recent economic faction war. Recruitment has slowed and thus the faction saw population totals decrease from 132,000 Prosperians to 119,000. Gods of Fortune are still the largest “chosen” faction by pledged numbers at 17% and are poised to regain footing with some minor changes in strategy. Leadership will need to work on creating/generating more activity within the faction but all signs point to this being underway.
  • Iron Hands and Rebellion Getting Better Organized? Iron Hands are a well oiled machine in terms of faction infrastructure and reports suggest they strengthen by the day. Rebellion is holding meetings to work on activating more pledged members and regroup following their brutal loss in the recent faction war.

  • FEDERATION (DEFAULT FACTION) – 31% = 217,000 Population
  • GODS OF FORTUNE – 17% = 119,000 Population
  • WAR HAMMER – 14% = 98,000 Population
  • REBELLION – 13% = 91,000 Population
  • IRON HANDS – 13% = 91,000 Population
  • PEACE KEEPERS – 12% = 84,000 Population

Building Long Term Project Foundation is Hard Work

As Founder and Project Leader of Prosperia I’ve come to appreciate two vastly different but interconnected perspectives on NFT projects. The first view is that of a consumer. I’ll admit I’m still a degen in a sense. I ape face first into mints for the fun of it. The thrill of fighting for something unique, special and rare. The second, of course, is the view of a creator. And now having that full 360 degree look at it all has brought about some interesting musings.

There are projects designed as quick hits/flips where the creators have art and no long term plan. And there are projects with big grand plans. Before creating Prosperia I often found myself looking at projects like Pavia and wondering why they’re so quiet for lengthy periods of time. What are they doing? Have they checked out?

But now I get it. Building long term is laborious. It isn’t sexy. It isn’t hype. It isn’t the fun you get leading up to a big mint event. No, building long term is a grind. A boring, quiet and long grind. Especially for the community holding assets you created.

It means you have to watch your assets be sold for values you might feel are a bit offensive, and you have to look beyond that. Because until the utility is active and live, the assets you created and sold are missing half their value. This must be understood and consumed with a level of professionalism that is difficult to muster.

For Prosperia we have to get the horse before the cart. Which means we have to build a ton of foundational framework upon which the bulk of the long term project will stand. This includes an entire ecosystem framework, a custom built “in world” economy, societal platforms (elections, faction organization, etc) and more. We have amazing art, but our art is deeply built around utility and purpose. We can’t just keep minting art without the foundation for it to stand on.

The art and mints are where the fun and buzz are found. The foundation building is a public dead zone. And I feel this is probably why there are more quick flip style projects vs grand plan efforts. Most projects are led by artists and not business minds. There is no patience or tolerance for the quiet grind. No ability to continue grinding when there is no revenue or hype.

The Discord gets quiet. The twitter activity dies down. No one is talking about you. But you have to continue building. You have to do the dirty work and get it done. No matter how mentally taxing it can be to get through it.

I’ll be buying into some more Pavia and a few other projects quietly idling their way through this building phase thanks to this new perspective. Because now I get it. It’s not that they’ve just given up or fail to communicate often, it’s that they’re doing work that no one really cares about until it’s done.

It’s hard work. And it takes grit.

But it must be done.

CNFT News – Week of May 16, 2022

First of all the bad news. Cardano lost nearly 50% over the span of 9 days due to the crashing of the Terra Lumen coin. As a result of this more and more creators are thinking about adjusting project mint prices to ensure hard costs can be covered. Development, community mods and designers require compensation and the amount of compensation value remains the same, even though ADA value has dramatically changed. The domino effect of of the crypto is far reaching and the CNFT space is certainly feeling the pinch.

ADA holders, however, are for the most part in it for the long haul and know things will recover. So charge on we will.

NOTE: None of this is financial advice. This post is for entertainment purposes only and as always… we highly recommend everyone do their own research.

There are two interesting things happening for projects already minted. First is “BrightLeaf Laboratories,” a project with heaps of promise that after their initial mint couldn’t sell out with less than 1000 left to be minted from original 5555 supply. The team announced they have decided to burn their remaining supply, which in turn could create an excellent buying/selling opportunity on secondary markets. You can currently buy one on secondary for less than 50 ADA, which could end up being an excellent move with supply positioned to drop.

Next is “Bumping Uglies” a project which ticks nearly all boxes. Doxed team, big active discord. They already dropped a game for Season 1 and next up is Babies Land (31st May) and with them comes 27 Play-to-Earn games. They plan to mint another 5000 Uglies, but if you don’t want to wait that long just buy 1 of the secondary for roughly 30 ADA.

For more info check their website:

News about upcoming Projects:

The project Growing Pains is planning another Drop called ParaPains. To get whitelisted just hold a Growing Pain (excerpt from their discord) “1. First option, and one that we’re leaning to: 1:1 Growing Pains to ParaPains (WL to have capped amount) This may still have to be first come first served, but should leave plenty for you GP holders, as ParaPains collection will be larger.

Promising Projects this week are as follows:

  • Junkies
  • Monokeros

My Personal favorite is Junkies coming from the same Creator as VeggieMates. If you want to get WL there, but don’t have enough luck to win it anywhere you can buy a VeggieMate. But don’t forget that the snapshot will be taken 24-48 hours earlier and you have to mint from the same wallet. Don’t worry you have 24 hours to mint! Another benefit of WL is a cheaper mint. VeggieMates has a floor above 100 so if we expect the Junkies to perform similar this could be a strong mint.

Next is Monokeros and STAKI to be frank I don’t think they will perform the same as the Junkies. Why? Well first of all is the supply. While it looks good for STAKI with about 6000 in the discord for 3333 supply, Monokeros have a supply of 5555 with close to 5000 members in their discord. But still their Members are active and the art is cute. They plan to do a DeFi pass minting later as well as a borrowing and lending platform and much more. That’s it about Monokeros but STAKI still has a twist, although the minting price from STAKI (70 ADA) is higher than Monokeros (48 ADA) there you can only mint 7 basis models with NO traits. The Reason is simple: the plan is to mutate them in Season 2.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
